Legal bases for processing under the GDPR
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract: to process orders, payments, deliveries, returns, customer accounts and Affiliate Program participation.
- Legal obligation: to maintain tax, accounting, transaction, Affiliate-payment and regulatory records.
- Legitimate interests: to operate and secure our business, administer referrals and commissions, prevent fraud, improve services, handle complaints and understand demand, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent: for certain marketing, optional cookies or other activities where consent is legally required.
- Legal claims: where processing is required to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
You may withdraw consent at any time where consent is the legal basis. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully before withdrawal.
Orders, invoices, Affiliate payouts and payment records
We retain information necessary to document purchases, payments, Affiliate commissions and payouts, refunds, deliveries and tax obligations. Transaction records may include identity, address, products purchased, amount, applicable tax, payment or payout status, payment reference and related correspondence.
Payment providers independently determine how complete card, wallet or bank credentials are processed. Customers and Affiliates should review the privacy and security notices displayed by the selected payment provider.
Comments and product reviews
When visitors leave comments or product reviews, we may collect the information shown in the relevant form, together with the visitor’s IP address, browser information and other technical information used for moderation, security and spam detection.
Approved comments and reviews may be displayed publicly together with the name or profile identifier submitted by the reviewer. Do not include confidential, sensitive or unnecessary personal information in a public review.
An anonymised string created from an email address may be provided to the Gravatar service where that feature is enabled. Gravatar and its provider process information under their own privacy terms.
Media and uploaded files
If you upload photographs, videos or other files, please remove embedded location information or other unnecessary metadata before submission. Depending on how content is published, other visitors may be able to download the file or extract embedded metadata.
Files submitted privately for customer-support, delivery, product-quality, refund or Affiliate verification purposes will be used for those purposes and related legal or record-keeping needs.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, remember choices, maintain sessions, secure accounts, understand website use, attribute Affiliate referrals and, where permitted, support advertising and marketing.
Essential cookies
These cookies are necessary for functions such as shopping carts, checkout, login, Affiliate portal sessions, fraud prevention, security and load balancing.
Functional cookies
These cookies remember preferences such as language, location, display choices, saved details or account settings.
Analytics cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the website, which pages are popular, whether errors occur and how the website can be improved.
Affiliate and referral cookies
Affiliate or referral cookies and similar identifiers may be used to recognise that a visitor arrived through an Affiliate link or promotional source, maintain attribution for an applicable tracking period, measure referrals and conversions, and calculate commission. Blocking or deleting these cookies may prevent a referral from being correctly attributed.
Advertising and marketing cookies
Where enabled and legally permitted, these cookies may measure advertising performance, limit repeated advertisements, create audiences or personalise advertising on third-party platforms.
Where required by applicable law, non-essential cookies will be activated only after you provide consent. You may change your choices using the website’s cookie settings or through your browser. Blocking cookies may affect certain website or Affiliate Program features.
Login and account cookies
When you visit a customer or Affiliate login page, a temporary cookie may be used to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. When you log in, cookies may be used to maintain your session, remember your login status and save display preferences.
If you select a “Remember Me” option, your login may persist for a longer period. Logging out generally removes or invalidates active login cookies, although security and audit records may remain.
Embedded content and third-party links
Our website may contain embedded videos, maps, social-media posts, payment widgets, Affiliate tools, reviews, images or other content supplied by third parties. Embedded content may behave as though you visited the third party directly.
Those third parties may collect technical or account information, use cookies and monitor interactions with their content. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies.

We may share personal information only where reasonably necessary with:
- GoAffPro and other Affiliate Program technology providers;
- website hosting, database, content-delivery and backup providers;
- payment gateways, banks, digital wallets and fraud-prevention providers;
- couriers, delivery agents, warehouses and fulfilment partners;
- email, messaging and customer-support providers;
- analytics, advertising and marketing providers where permitted;
- accountants, auditors, lawyers, insurers and professional advisers;
- technology suppliers and contractors maintaining our systems;
- government bodies, courts, tax authorities, regulators and law-enforcement agencies where required by law;
- potential purchasers, investors or advisers in connection with a genuine business sale, restructuring or transfer.
Service providers are expected to process information only for authorised purposes, apply appropriate safeguards and comply with applicable privacy obligations. We do not sell personal information as a standalone commercial product.
Website hosting and data-storage locations
Our website and related information may be hosted or processed using Hostinger infrastructure and other service providers. Depending on our hosting plan, selected server location, content-delivery network, email configuration, backup systems, security services, redundancy arrangements and disaster-recovery processes, information may be processed or stored in Nepal or in other countries.
Affiliate Program information may additionally be processed through GoAffPro infrastructure and service providers. GoAffPro’s supplied privacy notice identifies its operations in India. Accordingly, Affiliate information may be processed outside Nepal, including in India or other jurisdictions used by relevant service providers.
Information may therefore be copied, cached, backed up, routed or made accessible through servers, data centres and service providers located in multiple jurisdictions. The country in which a server is located may have privacy laws that differ from those of Nepal or your home country.
International data transfers
Because we use international hosting, Affiliate Program, payment, communication, analytics and logistics services, personal information may be transferred outside Nepal and outside the country in which you live.
Where the GDPR applies to a transfer outside the European Economic Area, we will seek to rely on an appropriate mechanism such as an adequacy decision, approved standard contractual clauses, binding corporate rules where relevant, another legally recognised transfer mechanism, or an applicable legal exception in limited circumstances.
How long we retain personal information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including contractual, accounting, tax, consumer-protection, Affiliate Program, security and legal requirements.
- Order, invoice, payment, Affiliate commission and tax records: retained for the period required by applicable tax, accounting and commercial laws.
- Customer and Affiliate accounts: retained while the account remains active and for a reasonable period afterwards.
- Customer and Affiliate support records: retained for as long as needed to resolve the matter and protect legal rights.
- Marketing information: retained until consent is withdrawn, an objection is received or the information is no longer required.
- Referral and fraud-prevention records: retained for a reasonable period necessary to verify commissions, investigate abuse and protect the Program.
- Comments and reviews: may remain for as long as the relevant content remains published, subject to moderation and legal rights.
- Security and server logs: retained for periods appropriate to security, diagnostics, fraud prevention and incident investigation.
- Backups: deleted information may remain temporarily within protected backup systems until overwritten or securely deleted under the normal backup cycle.
How we protect personal information
We use reasonable administrative, organisational and technical measures designed to protect personal information. Depending on the relevant system, these measures may include HTTPS and encryption during transmission, password hashing and protected authentication, limited access, multi-factor authentication where enabled, security monitoring, firewalls, software updates, backups, specialist payment processing, confidentiality controls and review of suspicious transactions.
Third-party providers, including GoAffPro, maintain their own security measures for systems they operate. No online service, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Marketing communications
We may send information about products, offers, launches, events, Affiliate opportunities or services where you have consented or where another lawful basis permits us to do so.
You may unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or by contacting us at customer@anjulifoods.com. Transactional messages concerning orders, payments, Affiliate commissions, account security or legal matters are not marketing messages and may continue where necessary.
Automated processing and fraud prevention
Payment providers, Affiliate systems, website-security systems or fraud-prevention services may automatically assess transactions, referrals, devices, IP addresses and behavioural indicators to identify unusual or potentially fraudulent activity.
Where a decision produces a significant legal or similar effect and applicable law grants you a right to human review, you may contact us to request further information or review.
Children’s privacy
Our website and products are intended for purchase by adults. We do not knowingly request that children independently create accounts, make purchases, submit payment information or participate in the Affiliate Program without appropriate involvement from a parent or legal guardian and where legally permitted.
If you believe a child has submitted personal information without appropriate authorisation, please contact us.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have the right to request information about processing; access your personal information; correct inaccurate information; request deletion; request restriction; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; request portability; request review of certain automated decisions; and lodge a complaint with an appropriate authority.
These rights are not absolute. We may retain or continue processing information where permitted or required for contracts, tax, accounting, Affiliate payments, fraud prevention, legal claims, security or other lawful purposes.
How to exercise your rights
To make a privacy request, contact us at customer@anjulifoods.com. Please provide enough information for us to identify the relevant records and understand your request.
We may ask for reasonable evidence of identity before disclosing, changing or deleting personal information. Where information is held within a third-party system such as GoAffPro, we may need to coordinate with that provider to fulfil a valid request.
Account correction and deletion
Registered customer and Affiliate users may be able to view or edit some account information through their profile or dashboard. You may contact us to request account closure or deletion.
Closing an account does not require us to delete order, invoice, tax, Affiliate commission, payout, fraud-prevention or dispute records that we are legally required or otherwise lawfully entitled to retain.
Data breaches and security incidents
If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will assess the nature, scope and potential impact of the incident. We will take reasonable containment and remediation measures and provide notifications to affected individuals or authorities where required by applicable law.
Government and legal requests
We may preserve, disclose or provide access to personal information where reasonably necessary to comply with a lawful court order, government request, tax requirement, regulatory obligation or law-enforcement process.
Business transfers
If Anjuli Foods undergoes a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets or transfer of business, personal information may be reviewed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.
Where visitor and Affiliate information is sent
Visitor comments, contact forms, account activity, orders and Affiliate activity may be processed through automated spam detection, fraud prevention, Affiliate tracking, website security, email, hosting, backup, analytics, payment or commission-management services. These services may operate in Nepal or other countries.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, payment methods, hosting arrangements, Affiliate Program technology, website features or business practices.
The updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective or update date. Where a change is material and applicable law requires additional notice or consent, we will take reasonable steps to provide it.
